Laurence Philippe Wines was established in Chelmsford, Essex in 1981, and since then Laurence Philippe has grown and has gained even greater knowledge and experience within the wine and drinks trade. At Laurence Philippe Wines, we appreciate the ever-changing tastes and trends which make what we do both exciting and challenging. We liaise with our wine producers regularly, so that we are able to truly understand the wines we then sell on to you, our customer.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alison Bangs on Monday 14 July 2025.
Alison joined the company when it commenced trading in 1981 becoming Company Secretary in 1986. She was a loyal & trusted member of the team & made a huge contribution to the success of the business. She will be sadly missed by her work colleagues, customers & suppliers.
Our range of wines offers great choice at every price point, which allows us to provide a service to all sectors of the trade. As well as selecting the vast majority of our wines personally, we strive to have exclusivity or own label wherever possible.

We offer wine tastings and staff training to increase the confidence and knowledge of your staff.
